Problem
The Mississippi River-Gulf Outlet (MR-GO) has caused significant damage to the wetlands that protect New Orleans from severe storms. Its construction required dredging at an enormous scale, and although it has been closed, its edges still create long surfaces subject to erosion.

Proposal
The project recreates wetlands by placing dredged material from the Mississippi River along a vulnerable and strategically important segment of the canal. It populates these wetlands with alligators, who contribute to wetland health and generate revenue through animal husbandry and as a tourist attraction.
